Afghanistan – SUPPORT Project

2006-2012

Following the 2004 Bonn Accords, USAID’s program in Afghanistan grew rapidly and exponentially, outstripping Mission resources available for tracking results, periodic reporting, evaluating programs, and other project development and program office functions. Under the Services under Program and Project Offices for Results Tracking (SUPPORT) Project, Checchi assisted USAID/Afghanistan’s Office of Program and Project Development and technical offices to improve the Mission’s program information system and reporting products, disseminate public information about the results achieved by USAID assistance, and facilitate coordination among USAID implementing partners and other donors. Among other accomplishments, the SUPPORT team successfully completed more than 80 design, assessment, and evaluation tasks in addition to a wide range of third-party monitoring, program analysis, mapping, and web-editing assignments.
